Arrival

  • After clearing customs and picking up your luggage, go directly to the exit..

  • Walk to ANY booth for taxi services. Note that you're not allowed to get taxis outside the airport.

  • Pay your taxi with credit card.

  • Write in a paper or show in your phone the hotel adress to the cashier and also the taxi driver. (double check)

  • Exhange your dollars for pesos after you clear customs and go out the exit ($200 to $250 is enough)

Mexico City

  • Call your bank or credit card company and let them know you are traveling to Mexico so they do not block your card while you are in Mexico.

  • Call your cellphone carrier service to ask them about traveler packages or limit your data, don't let them surpise you with an outragious bill for data services.

  • Tip between 15% and 20%.

  • Bring a sweater or jacket, seriously! Mexico city gets chilly at night.

  • Remember Mexico City is in a high alttitude. Take your time to get used to it, walk at your own phase and keep hydrated.
